Article 1:

The resolutions of the Islamic Consultative Assembly and the results of the referendum shall be notified to the President after following the legal procedures. The President shall sign them within five days and notify the implementers and issue an order for their publication, and the official newspaper shall be obliged to publish them within 72 hours after notification.

Note - In the event that the President refuses to sign or notify within the period mentioned in this article, upon the order of the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, the official newspaper shall be obliged to print and publish the resolution within 72 hours.

Article 2:

Laws shall enter into force throughout the country 15 days after their publication, unless a specific procedure for the time of implementation is stipulated in the law itself.

Article 3:

Laws must be published in the official gazette.

Article 4:

The effect of the law is for the future and the law has no effect for the past unless the law itself has adopted specific provisions regarding this issue.

Article 5:

All residents of Iran, including domestic and foreign citizens, shall be subject to the laws of Iran, except in cases where the law makes exceptions.

Article 6:

Laws related to personal status, such as marriage, divorce, personal capacity, and inheritance, shall apply to all Iranian citizens, even if they reside abroad.

Article 7:

Foreign nationals residing in Iranian territory shall be subject to the laws and regulations of their respective states in matters related to their personal status and capacity, as well as inheritance rights within the limits of treaties.

Article 8:

Immovable property that foreign nationals own or acquire in Iran in accordance with treaties shall be subject in all respects to Iranian laws.

Article 9:

The provisions of treaties concluded between the Government of Iran and other states in accordance with the Constitution have the force of law.

Article 10:

Private contracts are enforceable against those who have concluded them unless they are expressly contrary to the law Civil Rights Act PDF.
